TRY FENCING CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

DREAM FENCING aims to introduce the fast and exciting sport of fencing to both children and adults.  We welcome fencers of all abilities, whether an international, an aspiring international, a fencer wishing to improve their skills or a newcomer to the sport just wanting to try a fun new way to keep fit, DREAM FENCING is for everyone.

DREAM FENCING is an ambitious club that strives to develop competitive fencers by providing first-class coaching, training and competition opportunities.

We have coaches who are world class international fencers experienced and dedicated to passing on their knowledge and skills to a new generation.

Private lessons are available and encouraged for all, and particularly for those wanting to get the most from the sport.

DREAM FENCING is passionate about its sport and prides itself on offering the best fencing opportunities for all ages!

Why Fencing?

Fencing has been described as a physical game of chess.

Not only is fencing great physical exercise that improves reflexes, reactions, strength and all round fitness, but it also gives participants a cognitive work out improving;

                the use of strategy

                fast thinking

                concentration

                an adaptable approach

                complex decision making

                problem analysis.

In a fast changing world, fencing develops highly transferable skills!

Fencing is a one to one sport and so the individual must take full responsibility for both success and failure (and there will be both!).  The fencer can enjoy the huge sense of accomplishment when winning but should then take on board the thought provoking analysis in defeat.

Along with sportsmanship and the friendships that involvement in fencing brings, many universities have fencing teams only too delighted to welcome competitive fencers.

This is a sport that can last a lifetime with competitions from age under 9 to Veterans from 40+ up to 70+.

Fencing is a great sport!

Why Dream Fencing Club? Best 2017 UK National results - 1st, 2nd, 6th and 10th place. Best results in Europe - 2nd and 6th at Wroclaw Challange, 1st and 3rd at Dieppe, France.
